We're really very excited about the upcoming MSSR DVD project. Filming is well under way and we are currently making short profiles of 8 artists for the Museum of Brisbane exhibition Temperature 2 - opening beginning of Feb. The profiles will be viewable on monitors in the foyer area between galleries 1 and 2 at MOB.

The MSSR DVD project consist of a series of three DVD's released bi-annually that profile Queensland artists at work, at play and at home. Issue one will be available in June and features Tony Albert, Peter Alwast, Christian Flynn, Rebecca Ross, Martin Smith and Carly Scoufos.

Keep an eye out for the new MSSR ads in Art Collector, Art and Australia and Eyeline - thanks to Arts Queensland and Brisbane city for their support with that!

We are also very excited about this years exhibition program. In April we will kick off with my (Chris Bennie's) Doctorate exhibition, which is a lavish affair being staged over 4 locations. Matt Dabrowski and the Many Hands of Glamour will present a diverse body of new and old work in May. Then you can expect solo exhibitions by two of Brisbane's most interesting artists, Julie Fragar and Di Ball, whose responses to the MSSR project space will surely be significant in terms of the development of their practices. Christian Flynn and Brent Wilson will collaborate with MSSR later in the year to stage an extensive sculptural intervention that will unite two properties on Moreton Street. MSSR will finish up with an exhibition of new moving image work by Nicola Chatham.
